Friends of Carrillo Ranch, Inc.
has announced 
winners in its eighth annual
California History & Art
program made available without charge to fourth graders attending
Carlsbad elementary
schools.
The selection was made by an independent panel of local working artists
from among
participating students.
Judging focused on the winners' unique skills in oil pastel painting and conveying impressions of their preceding field trip
Leo Carrillo Ranch Historic Park in Carlsbad. They are:

A cooperative public
private venture, field trips were led by the city’s Park staff, then followed on school
campuses with a half
day oil pastel workshop conducted by professional art educator Wendy Woolf.
Private sector funding for the classroom instruction and consumable art materials was provided by Dawn
